Until the early 2000s, traditional "teferric-teferrüç" festivals were held in the spring. Villagers from the surrounding villages and those who settled in the center of Tekirdağ would attend this festival. It is 38 km away from Süleymanpaşa. The economy of the village is based on agriculture and husbandry. There is a primary school in the village but it is not used. The population of 2019 is 250.
